Seeking a career in private security?

 The South Carolina Protective Division One recognizes that the hiring process is a key event in the operational effectiveness of any private law enforcement agency. As a result, we are committed in our effort to actively recruit highly motivated, quality individuals for positions in law enforcement. As a Private Security Officer, you will become part of a team dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for its clients. 


Hiring Process:

  • Oral Interview Board
  • Final hiring decision

Applicants Must:

  • Be a good moral character 
  • 18 for unarmed and 21 for armed
  • A SC resident when hired
  • A US citizen
  • Have a High School diploma or GED certificate
  • Have a valid SC drivers license
  • Have a good driving record
  • Have a clean criminal record
  •  Must not have a Bad Conduct Discharge or Dishonorable Discharge from the military (if applicable) 

Note:  Applications will not be accepted 

for applicants who have experimented with illegal hard drugs within 5 years of the application date or 1 year for marijuana. Applicants must not have been convicted of a DUI within 5 years of the application date.
